Majority does not use relnofollow construction in the direct links. And that is wrongly. Remember, that some internal links are useless because they have incorrectly selected anchor.Someexternal links not only brings no benefits, but also because of them the website can lose its position in the Search Engines.

It is worth to mention that a great number of blogs groups their archives using the moth criteria but not the key words. That is real problem because anchor text is very important for SEO, and all these archives based on the datum have terrible figure anchor. Blog categories organization is the first step in the right direction. The most optimal URLs include appropriate popular key words and minimal number of slashes without any interrogation mark. Using WordPressm, make sure that Human URLs are used but not the URL meaning on default.

If your blog bases on TypePad or MoyableType then you need to substitute used on default underscores into hyphens, because hyphens are more preferred from Search Engines point of view. TypePad and MoyableType have the tendency to cut the part of key words in the URL. Using WordPress you should use “post slug” function that constructs Human readable URL orthographically and cuts out “empty” words such as prepositions that appear in the header, but add no privilege this URL from Search Engines point of view.

Just one RSS output type is absolutely unacceptable from the SEO point of view. Each category on your blog has to have its own subcategories in order people, who are interested in one topic, could subscribe on others. At the same time optimized RRS feeds output to users the whole text, have more than ten elements (e.g. 20 or 50), are full of key words in the title, include your trademark etc.

Maybe you place your blog URL or RSS feed on the Domain that is not your property. Does your blog URL really contains something like blogspot.com, typepad.com, wordpress.com etc? Are you waiting for a disaster? What will happen if you want to rebase your blog on another engine or change the hoster? You won’t be ready for the page 301 code which destination is to notify about the change of site habitat. The best thing you can do is redirection with the script saying “We have moved”.

Are you using incorrectly selected anchor for internal links? Quiet spread mistake made by bloggers is usage of “here” or “previously” anchors while referencing on other your posts instead of using normal key words qua anchors.

Somebody may say that all these things are unessential trifles, but these trifles influence on traffic availability (or its absence).
